The ADDIE Model is an instructional design framework used by training developers and instructors to build and effective training programme which involves a 5-step process:
- Analysis - determination of who the learners are and what is to be learned
- Design - specification of the learning process
- Development - production or procurement of various materials, tools and equipment needed for learning
- Implementation - training is conducted within a real world context
- Evaluation - determination of adequacy of instruction
